The Bank of England Museum sited on Threadneedle Street, in the heart of the City, sits opposite the Royal Exchange which has been at the centre of London commerce since Tudor times. Here for a moment there is a peace and tranquility, the snow softening the city noise in contrast to the noise and urgency which seldom leaves the internal structures.
