Spanish Lemons by Terence Clarke

£875.00Price
  • Terence Clarke is a contemporary landscape and still life painter and is highly regarded for his use of vivid colour and strong drawing combined with a distinctive flattened perspective – an instantly recognisable style. Influences range from Matisse to the Scottish Colourists, and his work is often filled with an intense light, giving it a distinctly Mediterranean feel. His themes range from Mediterranean landscapes, to still life and the occasional figure and portrait pieces. His paintings are carefully structured with strong drawing whilst the paint is applied generously in rich bold strokes.

Born in 1953, Terence Clarke had his early training in his native Lancashire before attending the Royal College of Art, where he received an MA in painting in 1979. His work has been exhibited widely across the UK and hangs in many public collections, notably the Contemporary Art Society.

Virtual Images - Where artworks are shown framed or within a room setting the images have been created using virtual/augmented reality software in some instances. The images are provided to give an idea of the scale of the artwork in the context of a room and the style of the framing. They should not be viewed as completely accurate e.g. the scale and the style/colours of the frame may vary slightly.

An online gallery with an augmented reality option is very forward looking and very appealing to the buyer.

The picture arrived this afternoon, very well packed and in excellent condition. It is indeed a very fine picture.

The painting is received and is a really nice small study-like work...

Thank you very much for all your help.
