Hervé Lenouvel

Born in Brittany in 1960, Hervé Lenouvel grew up close to the forest of Brocéliande, where an early fascination with nature shaped his lifelong artistic vision. A self-taught painter, Hervé explored various media before embracing oil paint. Hervé Lenouvel’s work evolved from figurative beginnings to a more intuitive, semi-abstract language rooted in memory and observation.

Guided by colour and driven by the sensations gathered on his daily walks, Hervé Lenouvel creates compositions that balance spontaneity, emotion, and chromatic harmony.

Hervé Lenouvel continues to live and work in Brittany, exhibiting widely in France, the UK, Canada, and the United States.
