Bridget Greenwood
Bridget Greenwood (b. 1961) is a British abstract landscape painter whose practice is rooted in an intimate, emotional response to the landscape. Colour lies at the heart of Bridget Greenwood’s practice. Carefully chosen palettes, often muted and harmonious are used to evoke emotion, calm, and stillness, shaping the atmosphere of each piece.
Working predominantly in acrylic and mixed media, Bridget Greenwood explores the tension between memory, place, and abstraction creating landscapes that evoke atmosphere rather than depict location. Her practice is defined by layered surfaces, bold yet harmonious colour, and a strong sense of movement that reflects the emotional experience of being in the landscape.
Bridget Greenwood is represented by several respected galleries across the UK, and her paintings are held in private collections nationally and internationally.
